Champion of the Month - Chloe

Chloe has recently received three acceptance letters to Manchester, Leeds and a London university-where she plans to study Photography-which makes her our Champion of the Month for February.

Pictured here with her mentor Courtney, we gave her a great bag from our friends at Illustrate and one of our Empire Fighting Chance hoodies, which she has had her eye on for a while!

Chloe has only been coming to Empire Fighting Chance since November of last year, and she attributes her work in the gym with Courtney as having a great impact on her well-being.

Speaking to the Evening Post after the Royal Visit from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Chloe said:

I was referred to the gym by my counsellor because of mental health problems and now even in six or seven weeks I don't have to go to therapy any more - I just come here. 

As a girl, boxing has really helped me in a lot of ways I didn't really expect. You tend to think of it as a male-dominated environment, which it can be, but it makes you really strong and realise you can do things you never thought you'd be capable of.

Chloe turns up to every session and performs and she does it with a smile on her face. She'll be an asset to any company as she looks to build a career in the creative industries.
